07/02/2008 - Darrel Wayne Coburn

Graveside Services for Darrel Wayne Coburn, age 70, of Chadron, will be Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Sharon Harrison officiating.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron. A memorial has been established. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.

Mr. Coburn was born in Chadron to Wayne and Florence Coburn. He attended Kenwood School, graduated from Chadron High School (1955), and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Chadron State College. He was a teacher, school principal, and guidance counselor in Chadron, Rushville, and Alliance before moving to Lincoln, and then California in the 1970s. He and his wife retired back to Chadron in 2003.

Wife- Mary Coburn of Chadron, NE.

Son- Jared and wife Tamara Coburn of Norco, CA.

Daughter- Susan and husband Stuart Hayden of Villa Park, CA.

Sister- Jacque Coburn of Sioux Falls, SD.

Grandchildren-  Dara and Jansen Coburn of Norco, CA; Connor and Kendall Hayden of Villa Park, CA.

Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron is in charge arrangements.
