Funeral Services for John B. “Ben” Tulloss, age 69, of Mission, SD will be Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Hay Springs with Pastor Rod Heilburn officiating. Burial will be at the Hay Springs Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the American Diabetes Foundation. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
John B. "Ben" Tulloss was born June 1, 1939 in Clinton, NE to Val W. & Jessie (Chappell) Tulloss. Ben graduated from Hay Springs High School and married Gwen (Mueksch) in 1959. They moved to Rocky Mt., NC where Ben did tobacco and cotton farming. In 1961 they returned to Nebraska. They moved to Parmelee, SD where he managed a grocery store. In 1969, they moved to Mission, SD where he managed the Gambles Hardware. After "retiring" he became a golf course Superintendent at Prairie Hills Golf Course in Mission, SD.
Ben loved planting and growing, but mostly being outdoors. Wife- Gwen Jean Tulloss of Mission, SD.
Sons- Val G. (Bud) and wife Jean Tulloss of Rapid City, SD; Brent Tulloss of Madison, SD. Daughter- Lori Fredrick and husband Terry of Chadron, NE. Chamberlain-Drabbels of Hay Springs is in charge of arrangements.
