Funeral Services for John Theodore (Jack) Lindeken, age 98, of Chadron will be Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chadron with Father Tim Stoner officiating. A wake will be Wednesday September 3, 2008 at 7:00 PM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Edward Cortney officiating. Burial will be at the Cavalry Catholic Cemetery.
Jack died Friday, August 29, 2008 at Chadron Community Hospital at the age of 98. He was born October 31, 1909 to Harry and Susanna (Nave) Lindeken in Crete, Nebraska.
On August 14, 1937 he married Alyce (Manchester) Lindeken. The two of them adopted Jacque (McLain) Lindeken. Jack was an engineer from birth always using his creative mind. During his life he worked on the road department and owned his own saw mill and ranch in the Deadhorse area most of his life. In retirement years he had a woodworking shop where he built spinning wheels and platform rockers. Many of his grandchildren, nieces and nephews have them proudly on display in their homes. He was also famous for his toaster tongs and mail box stamp holders.

Grandchildren- Kacey and Diane Clark of Crawford, NE; Kory and Judy Clark of Walla Walla, WA; Kim and Gary Fritzler of Alliance, NE; Kirby and Michelle Clark of Pendleton, OR, Kathy Clark and friend Kent Kennedy, Rapid City, SD; Kris and Echo Clark of Crawford, NE; Karl Clark of Akron, IA.

Nieces- Mary and Bill Woods, Carla Teal, Karol and Carl Nyquist, Karen and Joe Morgan, Christi and Gary Moore and Jeannie and Gale Gossard.
Nephew- Gary and Julie Nixon
A host of friends and extended family.
Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
