Funeral services for Dale L. Roberts, 82, Norfolk, NE is on Thursday November 20, 2008 at the Chamberlain Chapel Funeral Home in Chadron at 10:00 AM with Dr. Russ Seger officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 from 5-7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Norfolk, NE.

A memorial has been established for the Bethel Church Building Fund at First National Bank, P.O. Box 1351, Chadron, NE 69337, First United Congregational Church of Christ, 370 Chadron Avenue, Chadron, NE 69337, First United Methodist Church, 406 West Phillip Avenue, Norfolk, NE 68701.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron.
Dale was born on January 12, 1926 at home near Chadron to Willis E. and Ita Maude (Van Ness) Roberts. He was the third of nine children and grew up southwest of Chadron, NE.  Dale married Rose Marie Baldwin on October 16, 1947 in Rapid City, SD and lived near Chadron for two years before moving to Johnstown, NE and then later moved to O’Neill, NE where they farmed and raised their two sons.  Dale & Rose moved to Rising City, NE in 1987 and then to Norfolk, NE in 1990, where they resided until his death.

Rose Marie

Sons- Wynn and Judy, Norfolk NE; Douglas and Rose, Omaha, NE.

Sisters- Avis and Lee Fleharty of Hot Springs, SD; Martheena and Donald Haden of Chadron, NE.

Brothers- Dean and Martha Roberts of Chicago, IL; Boyd and Shirley Roberts of Chadron, NE.

Sister-In-Law- Pat Roberts of Kennewick, WA.

Brother-In-Law- Billy Pierce of Mesa, AZ.

Grandchildren- Christina and Calvin Laible, Lincoln, NE, Lisa and Troy Gubbels, Bryan Roberts, Norfolk, NE.

Great Grandchildren-6

A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Howser-Fillmer Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
