Funeral Services for Noelle (Shirley) Raum, age 86, of Crawford will be Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor James Martin officiating.
Burial will be at the Crawford City Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Bethlehem Lutheran Church or the Ponderosa Villa. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337. Noelle (Shirley) Raum was born December 10, 1921, in Brisbane, Australia, the daughter of Noel John Allen and Millicent Clair Allen. She grew up in Brisbane and Mount Isa, Queensland. She went to boarding school in Brisbane and graduated from business school.
Shirley met Earl Raum when he was in the military in Rockhampton, Queensland. They were married on September 7, 1948 in Crawford, Nebraska. Earl and Shirley lived on the family ranch northwest of Crawford for 30 years before moving into town. Immediate Survivors:
Sons- Allen and Doris Raum of Crawford, NE; Darrell and Janice Raum of Hebron, NE.
Grandchildren- Heidi (Raum) and Dan Chesley, Jay Raum, and Brock Raum.
Brother- Richard Murray Allen and his family of Australia.
Chamberlain Chapel of Crawford is in charge of arrangements.
