12/01/2008 - Stella Mae Drullinger
Funeral Services for Stella Mae Drullinger, 95 of North Platte, formerly of Chadron will be Monday, December 1, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Adams & Swanson Chapel with Ned Cooper officiating.
Visitation will be held from noon until 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home. Burial will be at the North Platte Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com. She was born November 17, 1913 in Alliance, NE to Mark and Carrie Miller Brandt. Stella moved with her family from Scottsbluff, NE to Chadron, NE in 1929. On June 25, 1930 she married Ralph Drullinger of Chadron. The couple resided much of their married life in Palisade, NE until her husband’s retirement from Southwest Public Power in 1972. Stella became a member of the Church of Christ on November 11, 1945. Church work was an important part of her life. She taught Sunday school classes and was also one of the teachers of a Community Ladies Bible Class in Palisade for many years. She also had contact with over two thousand overseas Bible Correspondence students through World Bible School. Her students ranged from the Minister of Economic Development in to a very poor family who lived in a mud hut in Kenya.
After the couple retired they moved to Chadron where Stella was active in RSVP work. In 1988 they moved to Fairbury, NE to be near their family. Stella moved to North Platte in June 1991.
