Funeral Services for Mildred “Millie” Heiser, age 89, of Chadron will be Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron with Father Tim Stoner officiating.

Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Chadron.

A memorial has been established St. Patricks Catholic Church or Crestview Care Center. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.

Mildred “Milly” Louise Heiser went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 1, 2009.

Milly was born August 3, 1919 in Chadron, Nebraska to Charles and Amelia Morrall. She attended school in Chadron and graduated from Assumption Academy in 1937 where she went on to graduate from Saint Mary’s College in Omaha, Nebraska.

Upon graduating, Milly moved back to Chadron where she began a career at Midwest Furniture as a sales clerk, after the store name change from Midwest Furniture to Freeds, she was promoted to manager. In 1983, she became proprietor and owner of Hilltop Bowling Center. She went to work for Wal-Mart in 1998 and worked various departments. Milly owned the Bowling Center until 2003. Being such a people person and wanting to stay busy, she kept working at Wal-Mart until she became ill in February of 2008.

During her busy years working, she also taught Head start in Crawford and Hemingford, and served as President to the Chadron Chamber of Commerce.

Milly touched and inspired many people in her lifetime and will be missed and loved by all.
