Graveside Services for Muriel Alice Crawford, age 90, of Battle Ground, WA will be Tuesday, January 13, 2008 at 1:00 PM Central Time at the Broken Bow Township Cemetery in Broken Bow, NE.
She was born October 5, 1918 to Sid and Edna (Holcomb) Parkinson, in Broken Bow, NE. She attended school in Broken Bow, graduating in 1936. She was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church. She married Milton Crawford in September 1939. Muriel and Milton lived in Seneca, NE for several years. Muriel attended Chadron State College and taught in rural schools for 30 years in Thomas, Cherry, Sheridan, Keith and Box Butte counties. She retired in 1978 residing in Alliance, NE. After retiring from teaching she worked for the Green Thumb program at Nebraska Job Service as a receptionist and an area coordinator for 11 years. She moved to Battle Ground, WA in 2003. Her passions included family, Jeopardy, her cats and her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens.

Sons- Mike and wife Carla Crawford of Chadron, NE; David and wife Dessa Crawford of Battle Ground, WA.
Grandchildren- Cindy Crawford of Kearney, NE; Jeff and wife Michele Crawford of Terrell, TX; Dave and wife Jan Crawford of Battle Ground, WA; Dustin Weston of Keller, TX. Great Grandchildren, great great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
