01/30/2009 - Raymond L. Rachetts
Inurnment for Raymond L. Rachetts, age 83, of Alliance will be on Friday, January 30, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.
Raymond was born January 27, 1925 at Alliance, Nebraska to Bart and Kathleen (Harris) Rachetts. He graduated from Alliance High School in 1943. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, from October 4, 1945 to September 24, 1948, while being stationed in Eye, England serving as a bombardier on a B-17. He was a brakeman for Burlington Northern Railroad retiring in 1987.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Winifred (Calhoon) Rachetts on October 23, 1989.
The family requests that memorials be given to the giver's local American Legion Chapter.
Immediate Survivors:
Daughters- Kathi Brown and husband Dennis of Chadron, NE; Linda Rachetto of Fort Collins, CO; Merry Rachetts of Alliance, NE. Son- Michael Rachetts and wife Debbie of Littleton, CO. Grandchildren- 9 Great Grandchildren- 18 Special Friend Ruth Baugh of Alliance. Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services in Scottsbluff is in charge of arrangements.
