Funeral Services for Ruth Hubbard, age 91, of of Fillmore, UT, formerly of Chadron will be Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron with Pastor Rod Bieber officiating.
Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery. Ruth Ora Hubbard, 91, of Fillmore, UT, formerly of Chadron, Nebraska passed away on March 23, 2009 at the Intermountain Aging Center in Fillmore, Utah.
Ruth was born in Buffalo Gap, South Dakota on November 26, 1917 to parents, Trond Olaf Eng of Norway, and May Jennie Eng from England. She graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1936. She attended Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska where she met and married Joe Hubbard. They were married in 1938, made Chadron their home until 2007.
Ruth enjoyed being a stay at home mom, raising their two sons, Keith and Dennis. They spent a lot of time fishing and doing things together, creating wonderful memories. She loved reading, gardening and outside activities. She had a special love for animals and raised many unusual ones, including ferrets, a raccoon, and a coyote.
Religion was an important part of her life. She was a devout and faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She taught her children by example and made life long friends. Ruth was also very active in the Red Cross. She spenT decades of her life volunteering to help others.

Sons- Dennis Hubbard of Chadron, and Keith Hubbard of Fillmore, Utah
Grandchildren- 8
