Funeral Services for James “Jim” Leroy Anderson, age 58, of Crawford will be Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Crawford with Pastor Peter Bertram officiating.
A private family ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Crawford.
Burial will be at the Crawford City Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Chadron Hospice, or the Ponderosa Villa. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, Nebraska 69337.
At the age of 58, Jim was sent to heaven on April 6th, 2009.
Jim was born in Chadron, Nebraska, August 2, 1950 to William and Ruby Anderson. He lived in Chadron for ten years. Following, he moved to Rushville, Nebraska where he resided for two years. He then attended school in Long Pine, Nebraska and following graduated from Rock County High School, Bassett, Nebraska in 1969. Jim enlisted in the Air Force, where he served from 1969-1974. After basic training in San Antonio, Texas he attended tech school in Chanute, Illinois. He was also stationed in Germany, New Mexico, and Mountain Home, Idaho. Jim was a member of the 367th Wing Group and the 10th Fighter Squadron. He served as a Penudralic Repairman on R.F.4C Fighter Airplanes.
He was joined in marriage to Clara Ann Sieker on May 29, 1970. His marriage was blessed with the birth of a daughter on May 5, 1972 and a son April 7, 1974. In 1984, Jim moved to Crawford, Nebraska where he spent the remainder of his years.
Jim was very proud to serve his country in the military. He was a family man who enjoyed camping, fishing, and the outdoors. He was gifted with a mechanical ability which lent to his love of motorcycles, small engines, and automobiles. Jim was a member of the American Legion Club and the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Brother- Jack Anderson and wife Marilyn of Ainsworth, NE.
Sister- Jean Cadel and husband Jim; Shirley Shultz.
Brother-In-Law- Con Shultz.
Daughter- Carrie Leal.
Son- Duane Anderson and wife Kay of Ainsworth, NE.
Grandson- Colton Leal.
Granddaughter- Raven Leal
Nieces & Nephews- Numerous
Chamberlain Chapel of Crawford is in charge of arrangements.
