Graveside Services for Jewell Roby, age 95, of Crawford will be Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Crawford City Cemetery with Pastor Marsha Stauss officiating. 
 
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 7th from 8:00-10:30 AM at Chamberlain Chapel in Crawford.

Friends and family are invited to have lunch at the Eagles Club at 12:00 PM after the service.
 
A memorial has been established for the Crawford Eagles Club. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
 
Jewell Marie Roby was born December 23,1913 at Chadron, Nebraska and passed away June 26, 2009 at her home in San Marcos, CA.
 
Her parents were Harry Jones and Theresa (Blust) Jones, brothers Roy of Chadron, NE; Lester of Missouri; Harry Wayne, Bob, Chet and sisters Wilma, Gwen, Katie Ann all of Washington state. 
 
She was married to Everett H. Roby on October 24, 1937 at Bayard, NE in a double wedding ceremony with her cousin Martha Mae Milne and Lawrence Raben.  The first part of her married life was spent on the family farm/ranch south of Crawford, working with her husband and raising six children.
 
She worked caring for the elderly in a private home and at the Crawford Hospital during the 1950s through the 70s.  They lived in Crawford for several years after retirement then moved to Palisade, CO near their daughter, Verona.  The past twelve years were spent in California with her daughter, Pat in San Marcos.  She was a kind, giving, loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Children- Verona (Mick) Mikkelson of Palisade,CO; Gary (Donna) Roby of Alliance,NE ; DeVere Roby of Aurora,CO; Marsha Swallow of Casper,WY; Mary Lynn Straw (Tony Moravec) of Rock Springs, WY; Patricia Wall (Severino Doria) of San Marcos, CA.
Grandchildren- 9
Great Grandchildren- 22

Nieces & Nephews- Many

Siblings- Harry Wayne, Lester, Bob and Katie Ann.
 
Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
