Funeral Services for Dorothy Norma Timm, age 80, of Gordon will be Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home with Reverend Al Trucano officiating.
Burial will be at Lavaca Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the C.A.R.E Foundation. Donations may be sent to First National Bank, P.O. Box 290, Gordon, NE 69343.
She was born September 13, 1928, at Lebo, KS to Virgil and Trilby Allen. Dorothy’s parents moved to Gordon when she was 4 years old. She has lived around the Gordon area since then.
Dorothy married Albert E. Timm on October 20, 1947 in Gordon. They lived at the A-T Ranch on Pole Creek until a house fire forced them to move to town in 1997.
Dorothy has worked on the ranch alongside her husband, at JC Penny store, as a CAN at the nursing home, as an NA at the hospital and caring for an elderly lady in her own home for many years.
She loved her family, her flowers and garden. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and RSVP.
Immediate Survivors: Husband- Albert Timm.
Daughters- Lila Parks and husband Larry of Box Elder, SD; Sandy Fankhauser and husband Steve of Chadron, NE.
Sisters- Linda Beightel and husband of Kansas; Karen Jarrard and husband of Georgia; Susan Bame and husband of Kansas.
Brother- Glenn Allen and wife of Oklahoma. Nephews & Nieces- Many
Grandchildren- 8
Great Grandchildren- 15 Great Great Grandchildren- 1
Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
