Funeral Services for Alexander Protector, age 89, of Manderson, SD will be Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD with Reverend Norman Cash officiating.
A two night wake will be Tuesday and Wednesday, July 21 & 22 at Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD at 3:00 PM.
Burial will be at Protector Family Cemetery in Manderson, SD
Immediate Survivors:
Daughter- Brenda Protector of Manderson, SD.
Adopted Son- John Nigh of Manderson, SD.
Granddaughters- Charity Hope Water of Hot Springs, SD; Laweka White Hawk of Manderson, SD.
Grandson- Charlie White Jr. of Manderson, SD.
Grandkids- Cynthia and Pete Stands, Martha Protector, Dana, Jamie, and Michael Knight.
Great Grandkids- Kiana Walking Eagle, Alexius Water, Alec Water, Alexsandra Water, Zach Water, and Charlie Water III.
Nieces- Dorothy and Evelyn Protector.
Nephew- Dawson Protector.
Numerous grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids. Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements.
