Funeral Services for Edith (Carson) Mann, age 74, of Chadron will be Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron with Pastor Seth Leypoldt officiating.
Burial will be Monday, August 10, 2009 at 9:00 AM the Roselawn Cemetery in Columbus, Nebraska with Pastor Glen Holtz officiating.
A memorial has been established for the Pioneer Manor of Hay Springs or Alzheimer’s Association. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
Edith (Carson) Mann passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Pioneer Manor in Hay Springs, Nebraska.
Edith was born on September 14, 1934 in Bellwood, Nebraska to Carl and Elma (Lees) Carson. She graduated from the Bellwood High School and the Omaha School of Commerce.
Edith married Jack Mann on July 10, 1963 in Columbus, Nebraska and moved to Ogallala, Nebraska. They lived in Ogallala, North Platte and Broken Bow, where Edith enjoyed working as a secretary, executive assistant and supervisor.
They moved to Chadron in 1982, where Edith was a partner in Chadron Auto and Farm Parts with her husband. Edith was a member of the Flower Mission at the Chadron Hospital, which she greatly enjoyed. She loved flowers, animals (especially cats), the Nebraska Pine Ridge, Sandhills, spending winters in Arizona and motorcycle touring. Edith was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Husband- Jack Mann of Chadron, NE.
Daughter & Son-In-Law- Lesley and David Prewitt of Aurora, CO. Son- Gary Mann of Tucson, AZ. Granddaughters- Taylor and Jenna Prewitt of Aurora, CO. Brothers- Robert Carson of Roseville, Richard Carson of Cottonwood, AZ. Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
