Funeral Services for H. Claywell Claussen, age 90, of Chadron will be Monday, August 10, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Chadron with Pastor Sylvia Karlsson officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Chadron Hospice or the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P. O. Box 970, Chadron, Nebraska 69337.
H. Claywell Claussen, passed away on August 5, 2009 at his home east of Chadron. He was born on March 2, 1919 in Chadron, Nebraska to Herman J. and Hazel (Grantham) Claussen. He was the oldest of eleven children. Clay was raised south of Chadron in the Deadhorse area and lived his whole life in the area.
On February 23, 1941 Clay married Nellie Rose Raymer. He worked as a farmer/rancher for Reitz-Crites, and in 1971 he went to work for Harry Ritterbush Construction. He worked there until he retired. Clay was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He is preceded in death by his wife Nellie, parents, one sister Ramona Durham, and and infant brother and sister.

Daughters- Ruth & Ray Williamson of Stillwater, OK; Linda and Al Parker of Longmont, CO; Dixie and Gary Blundell of Parker, CO; Vicki and Gus Ecke of Cheyenne, WY.
Brothers- Hollis Claussen of Hay Springs, NE; Harry Claussen of Denver, CO; Dale Claussen of Mitchell, NE; Jim Claussen of Chadron, NE; John Claussen of Chadron, NE.
Sisters- Marie of Valentine, NE; Catherine of Torrington, WY.
Grandchildren- 6 Great Grandchildren- 19 Nieces & Nephews- Numerous Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
