08/31/2009 - Jason Boyd Wilcox, “Ohantku Wawokiye Wi’ca’sa

Funeral Services for Jason Boyd Wilcox, “Ohantku Wawokiye Wi’ca’sa, age 38, of Wanblee, SD will be Monday, August 31, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee, SD with Reverend Craig West and Richard and Carol Lee officiating.
 
Traditional services will be provided by Rienzol Last Horse.
 
There will be a two night wake Saturday, August 29th at 2:00 PM at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee, SD.
 
Burial will be at Gethsemane Episcopal Cemetery in Wanblee, SD.
 
Jason Boyd Wilcox was born March 29, 1971 to Floyd Shol” Wilcox, Sr. and Julia Milk in Rapid City, SD, he was a twin to Bonnie Wilcox. Jason went to school at CrazyHorseSchool all his educational years.
 In July 6, 1995, he was employed for the Kiyaska Otipe Reintegration Center Detention Office. On August 1999 to July 2003, Jason was faculty administrator of the JAC. During this time, Jason assisted in the development of reintegrating the residential youth by the first ever getting the “   “ their GED or High School Diploma and attending traditional spiritual ceremonies and honoring the residential youth by “graduation-with a star quilt and dinner and  plaque. Jason was the co-founder of the Kyle Fired Department, with Jason being on the Fire Department Board. He was one of the main individuals that helped get the KVFD started.
On July 15, 2000 Jason united in marriage to Stephanie Ann Two Crow in Rapid City, SD; in this marriage one daughter, Samantha Rose and one son Justin Lee were born. 
Jason is survived by his mother, Julia Wilcox of Wanblee, SD; brothers, Floyd “Chili” Wilcox, Jr. of Wanblee, SD, Leroy Wilcox of Wanblee, SD, Lloyd Wilcox of Wanblee, SD, Harlan Wilcox of Wanblee, SD, Warren Wilcox of Pine Ridge, SD, Levi Chips of Sturgis, SD, and Troy Wilcox of Wanblee, SD; twin sister, Bonnie Wilcox of Wanblee, SD; sisters, Phyllis Wilcox of Wanblee, SD, Cora Wilcox of Texas, Elizabeth Chips of Rapid City, SD, and Michele Decory of Rosebud, SD, and his nieces and nephews. 
Jason was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Wilcox; his two children, Samantha and Justin Lee Wilcox; and his two nieces.
Pallbearers will be Robert American Horse, Peter Conquering Bear, Darwin Long, Sr., Russell Running Hawk, William Quick Bear, Travis Janis, Mike Rogers, Ed Randall, John Martinez, Reggie Little Killer, Leon Little Killer, & William Bull Lamont.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe White Bear Claws, Jon E., Maria L., Joe Larvie, Johnny & Jeri Wilson, Dana Hana, Reva High Horse & Arlene High Horse, Carol Herreta, Earl Wilcox family, Stephanie Two Crow, Brother-in-law Harold DeCory, Richard and Carol Lee, Sherry Knox, Reginald Little Killer, Leon Little Killer, Unci Marie Randal & hunka family, Asta Amiotte, Eagle Nest College Center Staff & Students, Class of 1989 of Crazy Horse School, Oglala Sioux Tribal Court Staff “Past and Present”, Rosebud Sioux Tribe, Attorney General Staff, OST Ambulance Service, OST Public Safety, and the Kyle Fire Department.
