Funeral Services for Patrick Joseph Glenn, age 77, of Chadron will be Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chadron Father Timothy Stoner officiating.
Rosary will be Wednesday, October 14th at 7:30 PM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Chadron.
Burial with military honors will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska.
A memorial has been established for the Chadron Senior Center at 251 Pine Street, Chadron, NE or Chadron Home Health & Hospice, 821 Morehead St., Chadron, NE or St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Patrick J. Glenn passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2009.
Patrick was born August 28th, 1932 in Manhattan, Kansas to Tilferd and Veronica (Moylan) Glenn. Later, the family moved to Fremont, NE where he grew up and attended school. He then served in the Korean War, receiving the bronze star. Upon his return, he began his 37 year career with the telephone industry where he met his wife Darlene Peplinski, who was working as a switchboard operator in Schuyler, NE. They married on October 16th, 1956 and to this marriage, four children were born; Steven, Daniel, Teresa and Deanna.
He retired in 1994 and served as a volunteer for the Child Development Center at Chadron State College, was a dedicated volunteer at the Chadron Senior Center and headed the massive cleanup project at Whitney Lake. He loved fishing and camping, spending time with family and friends, and earlier on, riding his motorcycle throughout the country.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents Tilfred and Veronica Glenn, brother Robert of Omaha, NE, sister-in-law Carmen Glenn, a nephew Timothy Glenn, all of Omaha and a sister Mary Jo of Meadowlakes, TX.

Wife- Darlene.
Children- Steven Glenn and wife Barbara of Decatur, AL; Daniel Glenn and wife Gayl of Madison, AL; Teresa (Glenn) Brannan of Aurora, CO; Deanna Glenn of Sidney, NE.
Brother- John Glenn of Gainesville, GA.
Grandchildren- Nicholas, Mandy, Melissa and Patrick Glenn, Brian and Jodi Glenn, Alesha, Katie and Kelly Brannan, Amanda, Ashley and Anna Glenn.
Great Grandchildren- 6
Nieces and Nephews- Several
Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
