10/28/2009 - Herbert W. Rickenbach
Funeral services for Herbert W. Rickenbach, age 89, of Scottsbluff, formerly of Chadron will be Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 10:30 AM the Methodist Church in Oelrichs, South Dakota with Reverend J. Edwin Coates officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Burial will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Oelrichs, SD.
Memorials have been established for the Oelrich’s Rodeo Association or the Prairie Haven Hospice. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
Herbert W. Rickenbach passed away on October 23, 2009 at Golden West Living Center in Scottsbluff. Mr. Rickenbach was born on November 11, 1919 in Oelrichs, South Dakota. He graduated from Hot Springs High School in Hot Springs, South Dakota. He married Velma (Sally) Naylor on November 15, 1940. He spent his life of farming and ranching.
He was a member of the Oelrichs Rodeo Assocation and the Volunteer Fire Department. Herbert greatly loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Herbert was preceded in death by his wife Sally, granddaughter Carey Ann, 3 sisters and 1 brother.

Daughters- Karen an husband Forrest Dryden of Chandler, AZ; Jean and husband Jack Mitchell of Cheyenne, WY; Vicki Roberts of Chadron, NE; Mary Welchlin (Kit Russell) of Minatare, NE.
