Funeral services for Linda Sue Evans of Hay Springs, Nebraska will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 AT 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Hay Springs with Pastor Rod Heilbrun officiating. Burial will be at Beaver Valley Cemetery in Hay Springs.
Linda Sue Evans died peacefully on November 12, 2009 surrounded by the people who loved her most. She was 59.
Linda Sue Evans was born to Robert and Dorine (Dietel) Lewin on January 30, 1950. She spent an enjoyable childhood riding horses at her BeaverValley home. She attended Beaver Valley Country School and graduated from Hay Springs High School in 1968. She was united in marriage to James Leroy Evans on May 24, 1973 and made their home southeast of Hay Springs.
Linda devoted her life to being a loving wife, nurturing mother, and dependable friend. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a caring nature that always seemed to put people at ease. She valued education and spent many hours encouraging and assisting her own children and many others to achieve their educational goals.
She enjoyed taking trips to the BigHornMountains, watching rodeos and football, horseback riding, musical programs, and shopping with her daughters.
Linda is survived by her husband Jim, daughter Krista Evans, daughter Amy (Marcus) Bond; mother Dorine Evans, Brother John (Carol) Lewin, and beloved dog Barkley.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert Lewin.
A memorial has been established. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain-Drabbels Mortuary, PO Box 443, Hay Springs, NE 69347.
