Funeral Services for Delores Maria Martin, age 82, of Crawford, formerly of Chadron will be Friday, November 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Ed Cortney officiating.
A rosary will be Thursday, November 19th at 7:00 PM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Chadron Senior Center. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
Delores Maria (Barrera) Martin was born on November 18, 1926 in Morrill, Nebraska. She went to her final resting place on November 15, 2009.
In life, Delores made many friends and carried herself with pride and dignity. She was very proud of her life and her heritage. One of her favorite places to be was the Senior Center in Chadron. There she could help out when needed and she became the director for a number of years. She was a friend to those who needed it and loved those that were lonely. She never turned her back on anyone and will sorely be missed by those who knew her.
Delores was preceded in death by her sister, Louisa Barrera, her father Philip Barrera, her mother Mary Morelesh Barrera, and her husband Danny of 51 years.
Immediate Survivors:
Son- Benny and his wife Kaylene Martin
Step Children- Cindy Weatherholt; Brenda Burroughs; Alan Kapacika; Anthony Kapacika. Special friend and companion CJ Guggenmoss of Crawford. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
