Funeral Services for 91-year-old Allie Aspinall of North Platte, NE, formerly of Gordon, NE will be Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 1:30 PM at Chamberlain-Pier Chapel in Gordon.

Burial will follow in the
Gordon Cemetery   

Allie died November 27 at her home in North Platte.

A memorial has been established for Western Nebraska Youth for Christ, PO Box 581, North Platte, NE, 69103.

(Mary) Allie Aspinall, age 91, of North Platte, formerly of Gordon died November 27th at her home.
 
The fifth of eleven children, she was born August 26, 1918 to Francis (Frank) Richard & Allie Gertrude (Paul) Simms. As a young girl she lived with her family in Burt County Nebraska and attended elementary school there.
 
In February 1031, the family moved to a farm southwest of Gordon. She attended school at District #63 and 9th and 10th grades in Gordon High School. In October 1932 the family moved into Gordon.
 
On October 26, 1935 she married Thomas A. (Tommy) Aspinall and moved to a farm southeast of Gordon. They had four children. In March 1049, they moved to a farm two miles south of Clinton. In March of 2001, she moved to North Platte.
 
She was a 4-H Club leader, a member of local extension clubs where she was living, belonged to Women’s church circles and was a member of the Lone Willow Chapter of DAR.
 
She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, sewing, cooking, taking pictures and traveling to visit family from one coast to the other, from the tip of Florida to the great Northwest and many states in between.
 
She could be seen helping out in the fields or tending cattle, working as a teacher aide or babysitting for family, friends and neighbors.
 
Her family was the center of her life and she enjoyed attending grandchildren and great grandchildren’s basketball, baseball and volleyball games, music concerts, one-act and class plays and speech meets.
 
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Tommy and brothers: Van, Vic, Vern, Francis Jr., John (Jack); sister Betty Lewis and grandsons Michael Chaney and Bret Reimann.

Immediate Survivors:

Daughters- Doris Cheney of Lincoln, NE; Peggy and husband Ray Reimamn of Hay Springs, NE; Donna Wilson of North Platte, NE.

Son- Gary Aspinall of North Platte, NE.

Grandchildren- Brenda and husband Danny Leggiadro of Lincoln, NE; Beverly and husband Allen Cohen of Sleepy Hollow, NY; John and wife Terri Chaney of Coto de Caza, CA; Susan and husband Joe Sukraw of North Platte, NE; Scott Wilson of North Platte, NE; Sandy and husband Steve Hurst of Cape Coral, FL; Larel Reimann of Hay Springs, NE; Cara and husband Ira McKillip of Whitman, NE; Shannon Reimann of Alliance, NE.

Great Grandchildren- Josh, Ben, Hannah & Nathan Sukraw; David and Matthew Leggisdro; Aliana (Ali) Hurst and Ava McKillip.

Chamberlain-Pier Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
