A Memorial Service for Eleanor Elaine Slater Harrison, age 90, formerly of Chadron will be held at a later date.
Bashim Funeral Home of Bakersfield, California is in charge of the cremation.

Eleanor Elaine Slater Harrison was born 07-16-1919 in Chadron Nebraska and passed away 11-29-2009 in Bakersfield, California.
Eleanor was born and raised in Chadron, Nebraska. She graduated from Chadron High School class of 1937. She then went on to attend Chadron Normal (State College).
In 1938 she married William (Bill) Thomas Harrison from Chadron. From this marriage she had a daughter, Margaret; and three sons, William (Bill), Robert (Bob) and Larry. Eleanor was a housewife and mother and involved herself with her children’s activities. She was a den mother for her boy’s cub scout troops, she was a troop leader for her daughter’s girl scout troop, she was a 4-H leader and instructor and helped with many school fund raisers and activities. She loved babies and was always babysitting for someone. She was an activity member of the Chadron Berean Church and served as a Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, ladies missionary group leader, and church treasurer.
Eleanor is proceeded in death by her parents, Don and Margaret Slater, her sisters Grace and Bessie, her brother Tom., her husband Bill, her daughter Margaret and her granddaughter Cassie.
Immediate Survivors:
Son- Bill Harrison and family from San Pedro, CA; Bob Harrison and family from Hot Springs, SD; Larry Harrison and family from Bakersfield, CA.
Cousins- 2 Nephews- 2 Grandchildren- 7 Great Grandchildren- 15 Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
