12/28/2009 - William (Bill) Ainslie

Funeral services for William “Bill” Ainslie, age 86, of Osage, WY will be Monday, December 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Hay Springs United Methodist Church with Pastor Rod Heilbrun officiating.

Burial will be at the Hay Springs Cemetery.
 
A memorial has been established for the Riverton 40 and 8 club. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain-Drabbels, P.O. Box 443, Hay Springs, NE 69347.
William J. (Bill) Ainslie, 86, passed away in December 20, 2009, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.
 
Bill was born March 25, 1923 in Nenzel, Nebraska to Jess and Elizabeth (Mone) Ainslie. He was a farmer at Hay Springs, Nebraska and Oral, South Dakota for a few years and then moved to Wyoming. He began his career in mining for the rest of his working years at Lusk, Wyoming and Jeffery City, Wyoming. After retiring, Bill and his wife (Elsie) LaRue moved to Riverton, Wyoming until 2005, when they moved to Osage, Wyoming to be closer to family.
 
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and rock hound making lots of jewelry and polished rocks to sell at the many rock shows. He was a member of the Riverton 40 and 8th division of the American Legion.
 
Preceding him in death were his parents, five brothers, and one daughter.
Immediate Suvivors:

Wife- of 66 1/2 years, Elsie LaRue Williams Ainslie.

Daughter- Virginia and (Gene deceased) Garhart of Osage, WY.

Sons- Vernon and Connie Ainslie of Portland, OR; Timmy and Nora Ainslie of Mitchell, SD; Melvin and Linn Ainslie of Chadron, NE; Bert and Stephanie Ainslie of Salt Lake City, UT."

Sisters- Francis and husband Don Robbins of Cheyenne, WY; Edna Morton of Douglas, WY.

Grandchildren- 16
Great Grandchildren- Many
 
Chamberlain-Drabbels Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
