Memorial services for Eric Lynn Snook, age 60, of Chadron, Nebraska will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Chamberlain Chapel with Pastor Don Ludwick officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
Eric Lynn Snook passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff Nebraska due to complications from diabetes.
Eric was born July 19, 1949 in Chadron, Nebraska and lived the majority of his life in his hometown. He received a master's degree from Chadron State College and went on to work towards a Ph. D. in Cytogenetics at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He later returned to Chadron to raise his family and to serve as the Director of Continuing Education at Chadron State College for a number of years. Eric then began his own small landscaping business and operated locally. Eric had a keen interest in both science and the field of medicine. He enjoyed music, outdoor activities and spending time with his dog Ruby.
He is preceded in death by his son, Kristan Binns-Snook, his parents Frank and Louise Snook, and his brother Jan Snook.
The family wishes to express gratitude to all the individuals and caretakers who helped Eric through his times of illness. Immediate surviors: Wife- Heather Binns of Alliance NE.
Daughter- Raichel Binns-Snook of Omaha, NE. Step-Daughter- Sarah Ogle of Castle Rock, CO. Granddaughters- Lauren & Layla. Brother- Steve Snook of CA. Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
