Funeral Services for Vernon Dale Kohl, age 75, of Bingham will be Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Bingham Lutheran Church with Pastor Gary Walker and Pastor Tom Johnson officiating.
Visitation will be from 1-6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 30th at Bates-Gould Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Bingham Cemetery with military honors.
A memorial has been established for the in care of the family at 1438 1st Street, Bingham, NE 69335.

Vernon Dale Kohl passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 in Chadron, Nebraska.
He was born October 13, 1934 in Stapleton, Nebraska to Arthur and Alma (Watson) Kohl. He was raised in North Platte where he attended high school. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1955 serving until 1958. He served on the recommissioned USS Lexington. After his military service he returned to the North Platte area where he was a rodeo cowboy.
On April 9, 1961 he married Mary Bishop in North Platte. Vernon and Mary lived in the Sandhills area and together raised 6 children. Mary passed away in 1985. Vernon was an avid horse trader, hunter and loved his grandchildren. Vernon remained living in the Bingham area until his passing.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, his parents, his wife’s parents R.S. and Virginia Mooney, his sisters Dee Kohl and Karen Binegar and brothers Gil Kohl and Jay Kohl, and sister-in-law Bonnie Kohl.

Children- Sheri and husband Don Amende of Plainview, NE; Mike and wife Kathy Bishop of Chadron, NE; Kenny and wife BranDee Kohl of Surprise, NE; Todd and wife Adeline Kohl of Douglas, WY; Jess Kohl of Gordon, NE; Thad and wife Jody Kohl of Cheyenne, WY. Grandchildren- Doni Cheri (Jason) Neuhause, Lori Amende, Justin (Marlena) Amende, Stetson (Janelle) Bishop, Tennessee Bishop, Mary Ell Kohl, Clare Jimmie Kohl, Ashley Kohl, Shaley Kohl, Jenielle Kohl, Daycia Kohl, Amanda Faye Kohl and Trevor Kohl. Great Grandchildren- Colton Neuhause, Katie Neuhause, Taya Amende, Brandi Bishop, Macarti Bishop, Westin Kohl. Brothers & Sisters- Loyal Kohl, Karla Meyers and LeEtta (Bob) Coons all of North Platte, NE.
Bates-Gould Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
