Funeral services for Deloris I. Anderson, age 77, of Lodgepole, NE will be Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Lodgepole with Pastor Jurdan Counts officiating.
Burial will be at the Whitman Cemetery in Whitman, NE with a graveside service at 3:00 PM with Pastor Roy Monahan officiating. A memorial has been established for Creek Valley Schools or the Whitney Cemetery. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.

Deloris I. Anderson of Lodgepole, Nebraska passed away on January 13, 2010 at Crestview Care Center in Chadron.
Deloris was born on October 11, 1932 in Hyannis, Nebraska to Emmerson and Dortha (Lemmert) Evans. She lived on the family ranch north of Whitman and attended country grade school at the District 4, South Prong School. She graduated from high school at St. Agnes Academy in Alliance. In August of 1951, she married Don Anderson. To this union, four children were born. She and Don worked on many ranches before she decided to attend Chadron State College where she earned a teaching degree. Deloris finally settled in Lodgepole, Nebraska where she taught 6th grade for 30 years. During retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her family.

Husband- Don
Sons- Rick and wife Carrie Anderson of Chadron, NE; Randy and wife Julie Anderson of Tucson, AZ. Daughters- Cathi and husband Gene Brown of Latham, KS; Cindy and husband Alan Bruns of Dundee, OR. Brothers- LeRoy and wife Delores Evans of Whitman, NE; Lloyd and wife Alta Evans. Sister- Janet Wittrup. Grandchildren- 5 Great Grandchildren- 2 Nieces & Nephews- Numerous Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
