Memorial Services for Fern Bieganski, age 91, of Chadron will be A memorial has been established for the Online condolences can be made at www.chamberlainchapel.com Fern Linabery Bieganski was born December 8, 1918, at Valentine, Nebraska, to Chaney Nelson Linabery and Rose Barbara Hamous Linabery. She attended Pine Bluff rural school and graduated from Valentine High School in 1937, attended Chadron Normal School (now Chadron State College) and taught in rural Sheridan County. She met Edmund (Ed) Bieganski while he was stationed at Fort Robinson with a Remount Company in 1940. They were married in 1941 and then began an adventuresome life with the United States Army, living in Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi, New Jersey, Ohio, Philippines, Okinawa, Virginia, Germany, and Utah.
They shared these adventures with their son Gary, and daughter, Maria, returning in retirement to their country home south of Chadron, Nebraska. Her life at Chadron included involvement in numerous groups and organizations, such as: The United Methodist Church, United Methodist Woman, Flower Mission, Chadron Women’s Club, Job Corps Council, and The Dawes County Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Mervin, Sister Mildred, and an infant sister.
Immediate Survivors:
Husband- Ed Bieganski. Son- Gary and wife Donna Jean of Chadron, NE. Daughter- Maria and husband Gene of Sun City, AZ. Grandchildren- Allen and wife Linea Bieganski of Colorado Springs, CO; Mark and wife Andrea Bieganski of Fort Collins, CO; Sara Todd of Austin, Texas; Travis Todd of Phoenix, AZ. Great Grandchildren- Alaenna, Jacek, Levi, Javin, Signe, and Elias Bieganski.
