02/15/2010 - Ruth Hanson

Funeral services for Ruth E. Hanson of Gordon, Nebraska will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Methodist Church in Gordon with the Reverend Kevin Burkhardt officiating.  Burial will be at the Gordon Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home.  

Mrs. Hanson died on February 12, 2010 at Gordon Memorial Hospital.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

Mrs. Hanson was born on October 25, 1916 in Burt County, Nebraska. 

She was 93. 

Her surviors include: 

Husband of 72 years, Harry Hanson, Daughters:  Marilyn (Gene) Gruenig; Mary Lou (Roy) Anderson; Carol (Michael) Pedersen; Yvonne (Glen) Hollenbeck. Brother:  Billie Kayton. Grandchildren:  5, Great grandchildren: 9 Great great Grandchildren. 

A memorial has been established for the Gordon Rescue Squad. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain-Pier Funeral Home, PO Box 336, Gordon, NE  69363.
