02/19/2010 - Kim D. Kubo

Memorial services for Kim D. Kubo, 45, of Norfolk, will be Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk with Reverend Mr. Jim Doolittle officiating.
A funeral service will be held in Chadron, NE on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Chamberlain Chapel with Sharon Harrison officiating.
Burial will be in the Hay Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 17th from
4-7:00 PM
at the Homes for Funerals in Norfolk, NE.

A rosary will be at
7:00 PM.
Mr. Kubo died as a result of a traffic accident, near Madison, on Monday, February 15, 2010.
Kim was born on March 7, 1964, in Chadron, NE, the son of Kenneth, Sr and Ilene (Preble) Kubo. He was raised in Chadron and graduated from ChadronHigh School in 1982. Following school, Kim worked construction and also as a mechanic.
On May 28, 1988, Kim married Dana Burbach at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chadron. They moved to Omaha where Kim was employed at Werner Enterprises. In 1994, Kim was promoted and transferred to Denver where he became the terminal manager. The family returned to Nebraska and made their home in Norfolk in 1997 when Kim took a position with GI Trailer. In 2009, Kim began his career with Lindsay Manufacturing in Lindsay, NE, where he was employed at the time of his death.
Kim enjoyed Enduro motorcycle racing, working on cars, playing pool and especially spending time with his family. He also enjoyed doing carpentry work.

Mother- Ilene Kubo of
Chadron, NE.


Wife- Dana and children: Loretta Kubo of
Apple Valley, CA; Sarah Burlison, Malissa Kubo, Marie Kubo and Drew Kubo all of Norfolk, NE.

Grandchildren- Magan, Ryan, Sarah, Natalee, Jaycie, Jordyn.

Siblings- Kaylene and Benny Martin, Kenneth Kubo, Jr., Stephen and Barb Kubo all of Chadron; Kevin and Julie Kubo of
Alliance, NE.
Chamberlain Chapels of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
