03/12/2010 - Ruth Musfelt

Funeral Services for Ruth Musfelt, age 91, of Rushville will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church with Pastor Rod Heilburn officiating.
 
Burial will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Rushville.
 
A memorial has been established for Parkview Assisted Living. Donations may be sent to Security First Bank, P.O. Box 550, Rushville, NE 69360.

Ruth Musfelt died after failing health at the age of 91, at Pioneer Manor. She was born to William and Lula Perreten at Rushville, Nebraska, October 7, 1918. Ruth attended school at District 14 until the eighth grade and then to Rushville where she graduated high school.

On September 1, 1957, she was united in marriage to Bill Musfelt. Bill and Ruth owned and operated the Standard Station for about ten years before selling and purchasing the 20 Bar in Rushville.
 
In 1983 Ruth and Bill retired and purchased a motor home and traveled to southern Arizona for the winters where they were joined by Hazel and Edward Musfelt of Rushville. Ruth loved to knit and crochet. She made many beautiful projects that she would give to family members and friends. Ruth and Bill enjoyed fishing and spent many days a year fishing in Nebraska, South Dakota and Montana.

Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Lula Perreten, Helen Moss, LaVerna Cleveland, William Perreten Jr. and stepson Larry Musfelt.

Immediate Survivor:

Husband- of 51 years Bill Musfelt of Rushville.

Sisters- Bette Jo Voss of Ogallala, NE; Margaret Voss of Choteau, MT; Norma Jean Johnson of Taylor, NE; Hazel Musfelt of Rushville, NE.
 
Step-children- Pat Bourne of Rushville, NE; Carol Reitz of Batesland, SD; Vicki Musfelt Jensen of Rushville, NE.
