Nadine attended Chadron State College and BlackHillStateTeachers College. She taught school at the Shaw school in rural Oelrichs and later taught in Ardmore.
In 1942, Nadine married Forry Dryden of Oelrichs. They had four children and she was a stay-at-home Mom until 1960 when she began cooking for the OelrichsSchool where she cooked for eleven years.
Nadine was an excellent cook; her pies and cinnamon rolls were family favorites for over 60 years. She loved playing pitch. Family get-togethers with her siblings, her children and even most couples who came to visit included a game of cards. She also enjoyed needlework, tole painting, walking and reading. Nadine was a member of the Oelrichs United Methodist Women, Oelrichs PTA, pitch club and Elks Does.
Nadine and Forry often had extra kids around. Nieces and nephews stayed on the farm for visits during the summers. Several stayed for the whole summer and one for a whole school year.
