Funeral services for Bob A. Marchant, age 84, of Chadron, will be Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chadron with Father Tim Stoner officiating.
Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery.
A vigil will be Monday, May 3, 2010 at 7:30 PM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chadron.
A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.

Bob A. Marchant was born on January 25, 1926 in Gordon, Nebraska. He passed away on April 30, 2010 at the Chadron Community Hospital.
Bob grew up on the family farm. He served two years in the Air Force from 1944 through 1946. He married Nadine Lindeken on February 14, 1947. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this year. Bob farmed and ranched south of Chadron until his death. He was a good husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and most of all his family. He could always see the positive and good side of people. He had a good sense of humor. He was a member of the American Legion.
Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, and an infant son.
Immediate Survivors:
Wife- Nadine Marchant Sons- Roger of Bradenton, FL; Steve and wife Charla of Chadron, NE. Daughter- Judy and husband Bill Trelease of Thayne, WY. Grandchildren- 7 Great-Grandchildren- 4 Sister- Muriel and husband Harley Smith of Rogue River, OR.
Nieces, Nephews & Cousins- Numerous Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
