05/27/2010 - Cornelia L. (Connie) Murdock

Funeral services for Cornelia L. ‘Connie’ Murdock, age 63, of North Platte will be Friday, May 27, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Valley Christian Church with Pastor Brent Montgomery officiating.
 
Burial will follow at the North Platte Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2010 from 9 AM to 9 PM at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6 AM to 8 PM.
 
A memorial has been established for the Valley Christian Church Nursery or the Mid-Plains Community College Softball Scholarship Fund.

Cornelia L. ‘Connie’ Murdock passed away May 23, 2010 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 16, 1946 to Martin and Della Winnefred McLeish Lynn in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

She graduated from the Assumption Academy School in Chadron, Nebraska in 1964.
She met and married Rich S. Murdock on June 6, 1964 in Chadron, Nebraska.

Connie drew strength from the “prayer warriors” committed to her battle with cancer. Because of this, she inspired others with her positive attitude, work ethic and sincere hope and faith in our Lord.

Connie was a member of Valley Christian Church.
 
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; sister; brother; and father-in-law.

Immediate Survivors:

Husband- Richard Murdock of North Platte, NE.

Daughter- Lisa and husband Jay Bolin; Kathleen and husband David Griffith; Patricia and husband Todd Langan; Laura and husband Jeremy Brockman; Jennifer and husband Randy Gilland.

Son- Seth and wife Kelly Murdock.

Parents- Blanche A. Murdock (mother-in-law).

Sisters- Francis “Fran” and husband Chuck Morton; Jean Lynn.

Grandchildren- 16
