Emma Roberts was born on August 9, 1922 in Davenport, Iowa. Emma passed away on May 25, 2010 at Pioneer Manor in Hay Springs. She spent her earliest years in Iowa before moving to Henry, Nebraska to live with her sister Nellie and Brother Roy. She married Charles Roberts in 1952 and lived her married life on a ranch north of Guernsey, Wyoming. To this marriage, two children were born, Marie Dreyer and Rosie Roberts.
After Charles passed away in 1987, Emma lived in the Ponderosa Villa in Crawford. She moved to Pioneer Manor in the fall of 2009 to be closer to her daughter Marie.
She experienced the loss of her husband Charles in 1987, and her oldest grandson Mike in 1997. She leaves to mourn her daughter Rosie from Thermopolis, Wyoming, her daughter Marie Dreyer and son-in-law Ron; granddaughter Sandy and husband Brian Schnoor; great-grandson Owen Michael and grandson Danny Dreyer.
Emma had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. She loved to visit with anyone. Nothing made her happier than to sing “You are my Sunshine” and “Jesus Loves Me.”
Graveside services for Emma will be at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Guernsey, Wyoming on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM.
Chamberlain Chapel and Gorman Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
