Funeral services for Susan “Sue” Kress, age 57, of Chadron will be Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron with Dr. Russ Seger officiating.
Burial will be at GreenwoodCemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Festival of Hope. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, P.O. Box 970, Chadron, NE69337.

Margaret Susan Kress was born on November 27, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from WallerHigh School in Chicago, Illinois. She was married to Clark Willhoite (deceased) and Alvin Kress. She was the owner of the Chicago Antique Mall, and also worked at Common Cents in Chadron. Sue was a member of Keep Chadron Beautiful and the Festival of Hope.
Susan liked cooking, baking, and holiday dinners with family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and taking trips across Nebraska and South Dakota.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and William Smith, Brothers William D. Smith, and Daniel J. Smith, and sisters-in-law Pamela and Jane Smith.
Immediate Survivors:
Sons- Daniel Rowland, Michael Willhoite, Jacob and wife Danielle Kress.
Daughters- Jennifer Monroe, Carrie and husband Calvin Webster. Brothers- Michael Koga, Lee and wife Irene Smith. Sisters- Irene and husband Manfred Blum; Dorothy Curtis. Loving Friends- Alvin Kress and Lou Marshall & along with many other numerous friends. Grandchildren- Terrance Monroe, Rayne Webster, Calvin Webster III, Kaden Flethcer, and Sky Willhoite & and soon to arrive Ashlynn Kress.
Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
