Mass of Christian Burial for Tim, Toni & Ardena Hindman will be Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 17th & Lake Streets, Lincoln with Father John Sullivan officiating.
Rosary will be Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 6:30 PM at church.
A memorial has been established for the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
An additional Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rushville, Nebraska.
Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Rushville next to their angel, Jessica.
Toni R. Hindman, beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter and sister, died Sunday, February 20, 2011 in her home outside of Wahoo, NE.
Toni was born on July 13th, 1965 to Bruce and Jeanne (Frates) McNeff in Brule, Ne. Toni was an active member in cheerleading, band, honor society, drama and choir. Prior to her graduation in 1983, she spent 3 months in Japan as an exchange student.
Toni graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln with her bachelors in Psychology in 1987. She then went to work at the Lincoln Regional Center as a Psychiatric Technician in the adolescent program and then was promoted to a Human Services Treatment Specialist in the Community Transition Program.
In 1997, Toni was united in marriage to Tim Hindman. From than union was born two beloved daughters, Ardena and Jessica. After the birth of Jessica, Toni became a devoted stay at home mother, active in her mom's groups, church, volunteering, etc. Toni was the "go to" girl for any errand needed by various neighbors and friends. Until her daughter Jessica’s death in 2005, Toni devoted her time and effort to helping Jessica fight a courageous battle with cancer. Toni was extremely active in her church, Blessed Sacrament, leading the church cantor service, substitute teaching, volunteering for the school and for the church with music selections, leading and teaching junior high cantoring etc. Toni was also becoming involved in their new church home, St. Wenseclause in Wahoo, NE.
Tim and Toni lived in Lincoln most of their married life, becoming very involved with their neighbors, community and church. Recently Tim, Toni and Ardena were able to realize a lifelong dream of buying a farm outside of Wahoo Ne.
Preceding her in death is a daughter, Jessica Hindman, a brother, Andy McNeff and her grandparents, LeRoy and Reba McNeff and Norman and Pauline Frates. Joining her in death are her beloved husband Tim and cherished daughter Ardena Hindman.
Timothy William Hindman was born on June 4, 1963 in Gordon, NE to William Delmer and Florence Marie (Nadobny) Hindman. He grew up on the Hindman family homestead northeast of Hay Springs, NE, where he was actively involved in farm and ranch life with the family. He attended a one-room school near the home from Kindergarten through 8th grade and graduated from Rushville High School in 1981. Tim received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1985. He began his career in aeronautics right after graduation, working for Boeing in Wichita, KS and Seattle, WA. While living in Wichita, he received his MS in Aeronautical Engineering from Wichita State University in 1990. After a successful career with Boeing, Tim decided to pursue a PhD in Agricultural Engineering at UNL, which he received in 2001. He then went to work at Duncan Aviation in Lincoln as a Structural Engineer, where he worked until his death.
Tim married Toni Rae McNeff in Rushville, NE in 1997, and they made their married home in Lincoln. To their union, they received two blessings: Ardena Pauline and Jessica Eileen. Jessica died in April 2005 after a courageous battle with Neuroblastoma.
He was very devoted to his faith, his family, his work, and his community, active in the Knights of Columbus and music ministry in many parishes. Tim always longed for farm life, and in the fall of 2010, he and his wife Toni and daughter Ardena moved to an acreage near Ithaca, NE to enjoy life in the country, complete with his own rooster that came with the place.
Ardena P. Hindman, beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece and cousin died Sunday February 20th, 2011 in her home outside of Wahoo NE.
Ardena was born June 27th, 1998 to Tim and Toni Hindman in Lincoln, NE. Ardena attended Blessed Sacrament School from Kindergarten thru 6th grade where she was an exceptional student, active in band, choir, summer drama club, 4-H, and piano. Ardena played the piano for many years, and recently begun excelling and playing the French Horn. Ardena was a beautiful singer, joining her parents in performances at church functions, and in the church choirs.
Ardena was a talented, outgoing, fun loving girl who was a friend to everyone. Ardena had a passion for school, music and animals especially her cats Marble, Studabaker, Angel and Hoodinie. Ardena was very close with her cousins Emily and Sam and neighbor girls Sydney, Claire and Ella. Ardena was a wonderful daughter, niece, friend and cousin who enjoyed life. She was an exceptional sister during Jessica’s short life.
Survivors for the family include Parents/Grandparents Delmer and Florence Hindman of Hay Springs Ne, and Bruce and Jeanne McNeff of Brule Ne, Tim’s Brother Tony, his wife Amy and their son Sam of Hay Springs Ne Toni’s brother Brian, his sons Seynen and Caylen McNeff Lincoln ne. Toni' sister Carol her husband John and daughter Emily Biel of York NE. Also included are several aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts and uncles, various cousins, close family friends etc.
Tim, Toni and Ardena's tragic loss has affected their family, friends and community greatly. They will be forever missed.
