Funeral services for Donna J. Brown, age 81, of Crawford will be Friday, March 18, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Crawford with Pastor George Kilmer officiating.
Burial will be at the Crawford City Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the American Breast Cancer Association. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.

Donna Jean Larsen was born on October 25, 1929 in Springview, Nebraska to Arthur and Edna (Heeb) Larsen. She graduated in 1947 from KeyaPahaCountyHigh School in Springview, Nebraska. While in high school she was active as a cheerleader, and graduated Valedictorian of her class. She attended NebraskaWesleyanUniversity in Lincoln, Nebraska for one year then transferred to Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1952. Then she taught for two years at HaySpringsHigh School. On August 9, 1953 she married Dale Thomas Brown in Springview, Nebraska. They celebrated their 57th anniversary in August 2010. To this union two daughters were born. Lori Lei on August 9, 1960 and Lyndi Lu on February 16, 1962.
They resided on the Brown Ranch near Whitney, Nebraska all of their married life. She received her Master’s Degree in Education in 1972, and became the guidance counselor at CrawfordHigh School for several years. She then became the director of the Crawford Retired Senior Volunteer Program until she retired in July 2009.
She was an active member of the MethodistChurch where she received the Harry Denman Evangelism Award. She was also a member of Royal Neighbors and was a consultant for the young and the old. She loved people and never knew a stranger. Above all, she enjoyed her family and many friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter Lori and husband TJ Storbeck of Crawford; daughter Lyndi and husband Phil Kaus of Sidney; eight grandchildren: Brandy and husband Devon Richardson, Tiffany and husband Dane Hobson, Natisha and husband Chris Kloch, and Chelsey and fiancé John Scherbarth; Reed, Alec, Taylor, and Samantha Kaus; six great-grandchildren: Paige Storbeck, Madylan and Rylan Richardson, Noah Kloch, Kennedy and Channing Hobson; sister Pat and husband Dale Sampy of Ansley; brother Bud and wife Marilyn Larsen of Springview; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, parents, grandparents, Brother Paul, and great-grandson Carter Richardson.
Donna will be greatly missed by all who knew her and were a part of her life.

Brother: Bud and wife Marilyn Larsen of Springview, NE.
Sister: Pat and husband Dale Sampy of Ansley, NE.
Chamberlain Chapel of Crawford is in charge of arrangements.
