03/21/2011 - Wilma (Hall) Clark

Funeral services for Wilma (Hall) Clark, age 83, of Chadron will be Monday, March 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron with Dr. Russ Seger officiating.
 
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
 
A memorial has been established for the Make a Wish Foundation or the Donor’s Choice. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, Nebraska 69337.

Wilma Jean (Hall) Clark of Chadron passed away on March 17, 2011 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
 
She was born November 27, 1927 in Long Pine, Nebraska to Almon and Laura (Collier) Hall. As a young girl, she lived with her family in the Long Pine area. She graduated from Long Pine High School in 1945. She started her teaching career shortly thereafter. She and her husband, Dwain, were married July 14, 1947. To this union, seven daughters were born: Laura, Linda, Karen, Karol, Kathy, Billie, and Mickie. Dwain, Wilma and the girls moved to Chadron in 1957 so Wilma could attend Chadron State College. In the spring of 1960, they purchased a home on Deadhorse Road where they raised their family.
 
Wilma taught school in Nebraska for forty-two years, the last thirty years, teaching kindergarten in the Chadron Public School System. She was a member of the National Education Association, Nebraska State Education Association, and Chadron City Teachers Association. Wilma retired from teaching in May of 1993. After retiring, she volunteered for RSVP and the Dawes County Historical Museum. She was a member of the Dawes County Historical Society and the Chadron City Retired Teachers Association. Wilma enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, sewing, crocheting, ceramics, watching professional bull riding, and was an avid reader.
 

Wilma will be greatly missed by all who knew her and were a part of her life.

 She was preceded in death by her parents Almon and Laura Hall, her husband Dwain, Daughter Billie McMillen, Brother Cloyd Hall, and Sister Nadine Weibel.

Daughters: Laura and husband Pascual Jr. Huerta of Brighton, CO; Linda McGargill of Omaha, NE; Karen Baumann of Gering, NE; Karol and husband Larry Hix of Chadron, NE; Kathy and husband Paul Brochtrup of North Platte, NE; Mickie and husband Rick Clark of Hemingford, NE.
