Funeral Mass for Norma Jean Neal, age 74, of Casey, IL formerly of Flower Mound, TX will be Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Markwell Funeral Home with Father Mike Haag officiating.
Burial will at the Casey Cumberland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 PM.
Rosary service will be Tuesday at 4:00 PM at the Markwell Funeral Home, 200 N. Central Ave., Casey, IL.
A memorial service will be during the 4th of July celebration in Crawford, NE.
Memorial donations and contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 3000 Kelly Lane, Springfield, IL 62711.

Norma Jean Neal, age 74, of Casey, IL formerly of Flower Mound, TX passed away at 4:01 PM on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. She was born August 13, 1936, on the Moody Ranch near Crawford, NE, the daughter of James Truman Moody and Caroline Catherine Wasserburger Moody. On November 30, 1957, she married Richard Daniel Neal in Crawford, NE.
Norma was born and raised on the Moody Ranch near Crawford, NE. She graduated from Crawford High School in 1954. She then attended Airline School in Omaha, NE. Upon completion, Norma moved to Denver, CO where she met and married her husband, Rich. Rich and Norma served twenty years in the US Air Force. Norma was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church in Casey, IL. She was over a fifty year member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a retired office manager for State Farm Insurance in Texas and had previously worked for numerous insurance offices and banks. Norma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had many accomplishments in life and one of her contributions was authoring a book, “My Life On The Moody Ranch.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Robert Neal; twin sister, Bette Jo Wermers; sister, Jeanette Parsons and brother, James Gordon Moody. It would not be complete unless we mentioned she was survived by her pet chihuahua “Buffy” and was preceded by her pet chihuahua “Juketa.”

Husband: of fifty-three years, Rich Neal of Casey, IL Daughter: Rebecca Jo Smith and husband Asa of Flower Mound, TX;
Grandson: Riley Smith
Granddaughter: Brittany Ferreira and husband Charles; Claire Williams
Sisters: Sharon Hudson of Emporia, KS; Barbara Richards of Northglenn, CO
Nieces, Nephews & Cousins.
Markwell Funeral Home of Casey, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
