Graveside Services for Mary Annina Coburn, age 73, of Chadron will be Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery, with Dr. Russ Seger officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery next to her husband Darrel.
Mrs. Coburn died at Rapid City Regional Hospital on Sunday, May 29, 2011. Mrs. Coburn was born November 3, 1937, in Kimball to Don and Erma Peterson.
She graduated from Kimball High School (1955), and earned an Associate’s degree in Music from Graceland College in Iowa. She gave private piano lessons in Rushville in the 1960s, and then was a music teacher in Lincoln and Omaha. She also worked as an insurance underwriter, primarily in southern California in the 1970s until she retired in 2003.
At the time of her retirement she moved back to Chadron with her husband Darrel, who preceded her in death in 2008.
Her survivors include her son Jared (wife Tamara, children Dara and Jansen) of Norco, California, daughter Susan (children Connor and Kendall Hayden of Orange, California), sister-in-law Jacque Coburn of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Brother John Peterson of Tucson, Arizona.
Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
