Graveside services for Floyd Everet Landreth, age 86, of Hay Springs will be Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery in Rushville with Reverend Al Trucano officiating. 
 
A memorial has been established for the Hay Springs Fire and Rescue Department. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Mortuary, PO Box 443, Hay Springs, NE 69347.

Floyd Everet Landreth, age 86, of Hay Springs passed away early Saturday morning, June 4, 2011 at his home in Hay Springs.
 
He was born on April 13, 1925 in Valentine, Nebraska to Alva L and Eva M Landreth. On March 19, 1947 he was united in marriage to Margaret “Mae” Shoop in Rushville. To this union, one daughter and six sons were born.
 
Through the years, Floyd had various jobs: He worked as a hired hand on many farms and ranches, worked in the Gold Mine in Trojan, South Dakota, a saw mill in Sturgis, South Dakota and the Army Base at Igloo, South Dakota. Floyd enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing cards, putting jog saw puzzles together and most of all, spending time with his family.
 
He was preceded in death by Brother, Lloyd and Sister, Thelma Walker and his parents.
 
Immediate Survivors:
 
Wife: of 64 years, Mae.
 
Daughter: Lila (Ronnie) Herman.
 
Sons: Floyd “Elwood”; Jimmy (Linda); Kenny (Patty); Robert (Geri Ann); Jerry (Rose); Phil (Kate).
 
Sisters: Barbara Krotz; Ethel Blair; Grace Cerny.
 
Brothers: Albert and Vern.
 
Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
 
Chamberlain Drabbels Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
