Funeral Services for Michael Shane Fernau, age 24, will be Saturday November 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the ChadronUnitedMethodistChurch with Reverend Seth Leypoldt officiating.
Michael Shane Fernau was born on January 7, 1987 to Scott & Natalie Fernau in Pine RidgeSD.
He died Saturday, October 22, 2011. Michael lived and attended schools in Hay Springs, Stuart and OaklandNE.
Michael then moved to Norfolk where he met the mother of his 3 children, Sage, Cole and Willow. He continued to live in Norfolk until the last 1 1/2 years of his life when he then moved to North PlatteNE.
Mike loved his children, friends and family more than anything, but he also shared his heart with the music and poetry he spoke so well. Although he enjoyed football and sports, his passion was with his pen and paper. Mike had a way of putting together words to make every situation good and bad sound so precious. He always said he loved music and someday would become the next Nortorius B.I.G! Anyone that met Mike knew how kind hearted, excepting and talented he was, his smile and laugh could brighten any situation
Although he is no longer here on earth, his spirit will live through us all.

Sister: Sue Fernau & Fiancé Darrin Liewer of Butte, NE.
Brother: Tyler Fernau of Sioux FallsSD.
Siblings: Jared, Joshua, Ozzy & AJ Fernau.
Grandparents: Marlene Russell of Hay SpringsSD; Darlene & Vic Nissen of ChadronNE.
Many Cherished Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Michael is preceded in death by his Grandfathers Ed Serbousek & Lyle Fernau, Uncle Stan Fernau as well as his brother Cody Ruegge.
He will be Deeply Missed.
