Our beloved Kelly Jo Jones, 52, of Chadron, Nebraska died on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. She was born December 26, 1958 in Laramie, Wyoming to Randy and Betty Wagner.
The family moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming soon after and she attended the Cheyenne School System, where she became an accomplished artist and musician. She also had a passion for swimming. She graduated from CheyenneEastHigh School in 1977. Kelly moved to Chadron in the early eighties, got married and raised three wonderful children.
Kelly began her career as a dental hygienist but switched to Pet Care after the kids were born. She ran her own kennel business for almost thirty years and always had plenty of animals of her own.
She is preceded in death by her brother Kraig Wagner and father-in-law Jerry Jones.
Kelly’s survivors include her husband Kevin Jones and three children, Will, Bob, and Maggie all of Chadron; parents, Randy and Betty Wagner of Cheyenne, Wyoming; mother-in-laws, Virginia Jones of Chadron and Jannel Jones of Yellville, Arkansas; two sisters Kris (Mike) Sumpter of Eagle, Idaho and Kary (George) Foutz of Hauser, Idaho and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Chamberlain Chapel with Dr. Russ Seger officiating. Burial will be at GreenwoodCemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Friends of Pets. Donations may be sent to the Friends of Pets, PO Box 524, Chadron, NE 69337.
