Funeral services for Lorene Hazel Rapp, age 91, will be Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Tim Stoner and Dr. Russ Seger officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron.
Memorials have been established for Chadron Hospice and the Chadron Volunteer Fire Department. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.

Lorene passed away January 1, 2012, at the home of her daughter in Chadron.
Lorene was born April 27, 1920 to Howard and Hazel Preble at Bordeaux Station, Dawes County, Nebraska. She was raised on the family farm at Bordeaux. On February 14, 1940, she was united in marriage to Charles Donald Rapp. To this union were born two sons, Arland and Roland, and a daughter, Colleen.
Lorene was a member of the Pioneer Ladies Aide, Chadron Flower Mission, American Legion Auxiliary, and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed many years of traveling with her husband, and also enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, crafts, gardening, birds, and, most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Her kind and loving ways will be missed by many.

Daughter: Colleen Patterson of Chadron, NE.
Granddaughter: Shelley Graves and husband Mark of Chadron, NE.
Grandson: Jereme Patterson and fiancé Sarah Brueckner of Chadron, NE; Troy Rapp and wife Theresa of Cumberland, RI.
Great-Granddaughter: AspenGraves of Chadron, NE.
Sister-in-law: Kathleen Austin and husband Donald of Redlands, CA.
Numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, brother, husband, and two sons.
Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements.
