Funeral services for Mildred Mracek, age 86, will be Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Bates-Gould Chapel in Alliance with Tom Serres officiating.
 
Burial will be in the Hemingford Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 9:00 AM- 7:00 PM at the Bates-Gould Chapel in Alliance.
 
Memorials may be given to the Hemingford Volunteer Firefighters Association.

Mildred Mracek, age 86, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Box Butte General Hospital.
 
She was born July 7, 1925 in Chadron, NE to Anton and Albina (Vacek) Serbousek.
 
On June 10, 1943 she eloped to Valentine, NE and married James Mracek.   They lived on their farm east of the 16 mile corner in Box Butte County and enjoyed 66 years of marriage until his passing in 2010.  With her husband sh enjoyed traveling to every state in the U.S. with the exception of three as well as taking cruises.  While they were home they enjoyed driving around their place checking on their crops and cattle and attending open houses for birthdays and anniversaries.  Mildred was an avid gardener and a longtime member of the I.C. card club.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Charles, her daughter-in-law, Toni Mracek, her grandson, Cory Mracek, her granddaughter, Jessica Meyer, one brother and one sister.

Children: Delvine (Clay) Reames of Perryton, TX; Karan Meyer of Faulkton, SD; Lynn (Jerry) Weldon of Hemingford, NE; Jean Wood of Colorado Springs, CO; Jim (Pat) Mracek of Hay Springs, NE; Mike Mracek of Hemingford, NE.
 
Grandchildren: 12

Numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
 
Bates-Gould Chapel in Alliance is in charge of arrangements.
