Roger Oscar Olson, 76, died Monday, March 5, 2012 at Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Alliance.

He was born December 2, 1935 in Hayward, Wisconsin to Oscar and Dorothy (James) Olson

Roger served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1956. He came to Nebraska in 1977 and worked on ranches near Cody and then to Alliance.

On February 18, 1977 he was united in marriage to Mary Y. Krueger.

Roger began working for the Village of Hemingford in 1978 until 1993. He then delivered A-Best Ice Co. from 1996 to 2008 when he retired.

 

His family was very important to him, especially his granddaughter, Grace Olson, who lovingly called him Grampa Oompa. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family.

Brothers: Dean Olson of Ashland, WI; Ted Olson of OK.
