Funeral services for Harold Noble, age 73, of Chadron, Nebraska will be Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron with Pastor Ann Sundberg and Dr. Russ Seger officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
A visitation will be Tuesday, May 8, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Chamberlain Chapel.
Harold Wayne Noble of Chadron, Nebraska entered eternal rest on Friday, May 4, 2012 at his home. Harold was born October 2, 1938 in rural Sheridan County to Beuford and Frances (Binger) Noble.
He attended Antelope School in rural Dawes County for first through seventh grades. He attended eighth grade at Willow Creek also in rural Dawes County and graduated from Chadron High School with the Class of 1957. Harold also attended Chadron State College.
Harold was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he served as treasurer and on the Buildings and Grounds Committee. He was a member of the Chadron Jaycees, the Elks Lodge and served on the Chadron city schools evaluation team.
Harold was a proud member of the National Guard for seven and a half years. He worked for farmers and ranchers in the Dawes County area until he took a job with the Forest Service. He started working with the Nebraska Department of Roads in 1961 and continued his employment there until disability forced his early retirement in 1996. Harold cherished the many friendships he formed with both the people he worked with and the many people he met while working at the Department of Roads.
Harold was an accomplished wood worker and avid gardener. He enjoyed puzzles of all types. He loved reading and watching Nebraska Cornhusker and Green Bay Packer football. Harold cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He was most proud of the achievements of his children and grandchildren.
He married Bonnie Chasek on June 23, 1962 at our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Chadron. He was preceded in death by his son David Wayne Noble and his parents.

Grandchildren: Blake, Brock and Bailey Nikont, and Ashlynne, Alyssa and Aubree Noble

Uncle: Bruce Binger

A memorial has been established for the Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Chadron Rescue Unit or the Chadron Hospice. Donations may be sent to Chamberlain Chapel, PO Box 970, Chadron, NE 69337.
