Funeral services for Thomas C. Flowers, 76, of Marsland, NE will be Wednesday, July 18 at 10:00 AM at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hemingford with Pastor Jim Hoehn and Pastor Ken Muldonado officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 2-7:00 PM at Bates-Gould Funeral Home in Hemingford.
Graveside services will be Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Whitewood Cemetery in Whitewood, SD.
Memorials may be given to Habitat for Humanity at, 723 Flack Avenue, Alliance, Nebraska, 69301.

Thomas C. Flowers, 76, died Sunday, July 15, 2012 at his home in Marsland. He was born January 22, 1936 in Sherman, Texas to Ira and Louise (Freeman) Flowers.
He married Patricia Toner on April 14, 1956 in Texas. She passed away in 1978.
While in Texas, Tom worked for over 20 years with both his father and brother at Flowers Electric Motor Shop. Following his move to Nebraska, he established Flowers Welding and Repair and on April 14, 1979 he married Faye Evans in Hemingford. Tom was also a Welding Instructor at the Pine Ridge Job Corps in Chadron for 15 years.
Tom’s loves were guns, pocket knives, pocket watches, Dodge Trucks and many friends and family. No one remained a stranger. He was a life-time member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and was also a member of the N.R.A.

Wife: Faye Flowers of Marsland, NE.
Children: Gayle (Bill) Mayfield of Shreveport, LA; Chuck Flowers of Oregon, Wade Evans and his fiancé’, Patricia Fonder of Hot Springs, SD; Wendy (Troy) Quick of Fort Morgan, CO.
Brother: Ed Flowers of Sherman, TX.
Sister: Fanny Mowles of Midland, TX
Grandchildren: Elizabeth and Tyler Flowers, Thomas and Kate Mayfield, Luke and Krystal Evans, Dustin and Kim Fonder, and Kayla, Kendra and Kolter Quick.
Great Grandchildren: Keegan Fischer, and Bethany, Steven and Hunter Fonder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Patricia, and his infant daughter, Mary Ann Flowers.
Bates-Gould Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
