Funeral services for Connie C. Weasel Bear “Wambli Okinyan” “Hoksila”, age 54, of Oglala, SD will be Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Loneman School Gym in Oglala, SD. with Pastor Joseph Story and Mr. Wilbur Mauk officiating.
 
A two night wake service will be Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 4:00 PM at the Loneman School Gym in Oglala, SD.
 
Traditional Lakota Services provided by Mr. Aloysius Weasel Bear.
 
Burial will be at Weasel Bear Plot, Number 4 Community, Oglala, SD.

Granddaughters: Adrianna & Dew Drop Weasel Bear-Slow Bear both of Number 4 Community, Oglala, SD
 
Sister: Arlene (Weasel Bear) Hawk of Red Shirt Table, SD
 
Brother: Harold T. Two Bulls, Sr. of Number 4 Community, Oglala, SD

Connie C. Weasel Bear was born on May 14, 1958 to Morris Wounded and Mary Weasel Bear. He resided in the #4 Payabya Community his entire life. 
 
Connie attended the #4 Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School and Red Cloud High School, Connie later received his G.E.D. Following his schooling, he was employed with the O.S.T. Dept. of Public Safety from 1980-1990 working as an Officer, Jailer, and Bailiff.
 
Connie also served on the Loneman School Board in various positions for several years. He also worked at the Wakpamni Service Center for a number of years.
 
In the summer of 1980, Connie organized his softball team and named it the #4 Chargers, he coached his teams for 32 years! His teams included men’s fast pitch, women’s, and Co-Ed, he loved this game! 
 
On June 6, 1981, Connie married L. Pansy Two Bulls, their 31 year marriage contained many blessings.
 
Connie exemplified the meaning of “Dad” he attended many girl scout meetings and activities, basketball games, parent teacher conferences, community activities, and supported the Sacred Hoop 500 Mile Run with his cousin, Mary and crew. He stayed up late comforting any of his daughters who fell sick. He also accompanied one of his daughters to Japan for the Stars & Stripes Wrestling Team in 1996. He loved his two granddaughters dearly, and on July 20, 2012 he gave them their Lakota names, Four Robes Woman and Runs With All Woman. 
 
Connie is a believer in Jesus Christ and that some day we will meet again.
